Nassau, Bahamas, October 31, 2016. The Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) in partnership with The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce will formally recognize Small Business Month through November with a series of helpful and motivating presentations, workshops and fun interactive events.
Entrepreneurs will be invited to attend free seminars throughout the month organized by the Chamber and supported by BTC Business. They will be introduced to clever business operations and learn about new products, business trends and services to help service their business.
BTC Vice President for Business, Carlyle Roberts said that they want small- business enterprise (SME) owners to be aware and to understand how simple BTC solutions can not only help grow their business but save them time and money.
“We want to widen our net and make sure more SMEs are aware that we are dedicated in our support and encouragement of them and really throwing our weight behind their drive to succeed,” said Roberts.
“We have developed customizable technology packages that will help them run their business more efficiently through better time and cost management. BTC and The Chamber of Commerce will be inviting the SME community to attend the day and evening sessions, mostly at the Mall at Marathon and the British Colonial Hilton but also other venues to be finalized.”
Edison L. Sumner – CEO Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation, said that SMEs are the life-blood of the economy.
“SME’s are the lifeblood of any economy and should be given due attention to ensure that they operate in an environment that will be conducive to their development and success. The BCCEC takes the development of the SME sector very seriously and has established the SME Help Desk Facility to assist SMEs with their business development needs. We are also very pleased to partner with BTC in organizing events to further support the SMEs in The Bahamas, understanding that businesses today are not able to function efficiently without the right business and technological tools, including state of the art telecommunications systems. I am hopeful that the SMEs sector of the business community take full advantage of the opportunities being presented by the BCCEC and BTC,” said Sumner.
With many activities organized for the month, it is a time when small business owners and operators can take the time to discover a new direction or find new ways to improve their operations, expand their network and grow their business.
BTC Business will provide FREE Small Business consultation on all of the products available to the attendees along with limited time discounted offers during the month.
BTC Business and The Chamber of Commerce with the support of partners will also promote the many organizations, companies and groups that offer valuable support and resources to help foster the growth of small business.
