A Bahamian start-up  specializing in clothing, accessories and essentials for men is out to prove that ‘chivalry is not dead’.

The aptly named Chivalry Bahamas was founded by local entrepreneur Chris Barr and was born out of the desire to inspire Bahamian men to improve their behavior and style by reflecting that of a gentleman.

The company was launched on March 31, 2018 and aims to bring ease to the shopping experience for men in the Bahamas. Chivalry Bahamas offers a comprehensive package of modern and quality clothing,  accessories and essentials for the ‘chivalrous’ man each month.

Each Chivalry box includes at least one (1) pair of socks, a tie (necktie or bowtie), a tie/jacket add on accessory and another men’s essential item.

A tie/jacket accessory is considered a lapel pin, tie bar, handkerchief or similar item. The ‘essential item’ can be a men’s care product such as beard oil and face wash or any utility item from a shoe brush to a cigar cutter.

The company notes that while providing men’s clothing and care essentials is a major part of its vision, an overarching aim is to ensure that ‘chivalry is not dead’.

The Chivalry Bahamas brand seeks to inspire the whole man and encourages them to not only dress like a gentleman but to truly embody one.
